Gifts in Wills
Considering Camphill for a Gift in your Will?
We were heartened to have recently received a very kind legacy gift by a relative of one of our day students. The donation helped towards the building of our brand new Parklands Houses, and will make a real difference in enabling us to move one step closer to seeing our Capital Development plans realised.
The gift reminded us to tell people that we can all do something amazing for the world just by remembering our favourite charity when writing a will. The good news is that including a charity in your will is just as easy as providing for your friends and family. And it can be as much or as little as you want.
Be the Difference
Choosing to leave a gift in your will for Camphill Blair Drummond is a wonderful way to support our unique community and leave a lasting legacy for our future.Camphill Blair Drummond is a small community but a legacy will make a huge difference to the residents and students lives, to their families and to the future of everyone connected with Camphill Blair Drummond.
How to leave a gift in your will
Making a will ensures that the money you leave behind goes exactly where you want it to. Choosing to leave a gift to Camphill Blair Drummond is an important decision, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. You can just follow these easy steps:
1. State in your Will that you would like to leave a gift to Camphill Blair Drummond. We recommend using a solicitor or will writing service to ensure your Will is legal and valid.
2. Make sure you use our correct details to ensure your gift goes to the right place: Camphill Blair Drummond, Charity registered in Scotland no SC001917
3. Let us know If you’ve already written us into your will we would be very grateful if you could let us know. We appreciate this is a personal decision (and letting us know is not legally binding in any way) But the more people who share this information with us, the more sense we have of future gifts. Most importantly, it allows us to give you our thanks.
If you’ve already made a will
If you have already provided for your family and friends by making a will, but would like to amend it to include a gift to your favourite charity, you can do so by drawing up a codicil. A codicil is an addition or an amendment to your will.
