Set a personal challenge
Setting a personal challenge is a great way to achieve a desired goal
Whether it’s the need to increase fitness, lose weight or give up smoking, linking your challenge to sponsorship or fundraising provides great motivation with a fantastic result, as both you and the charity are winners when you reach your target!
Camphill Blair Drummond is a superb learning disability charity to donate to. Below are a few personal challenge ideas to get you on your way.
Whether it’s one mile or 10 miles, every step counts. Walking is a fantastic way to keep fit, get outside in the fresh air and it can be done at your own pace. Popular challenges include Walking the West Highland Way, a walk up our very own Dumyat overlooking Stirling, or perhaps you have a favourite walk of your own you could do. Alternatively, why not leave the car or bus behind for a week and ask people to sponsor you to walk to work, school or your local shops.
Few things are as rewarding as running for charity. Run for a reason – run for Camphill! Jog around your local football pitch, take on a full-blown marathon, or get wet, muddy and throw in some obstacles. You can set a challenge to suit you. Here are some annual local events:
Get on your bike. Set yourself a cycling challenge for Camphill or take part in our very own Sponsored Bike Safari! Join us for a fantastic, fun day out for all the family at Blair Drummond Safari Park; we have four exciting challenges, inviting you to cycle a loop around the safari park at your own pace. Afterwards, you can relax and reward yourself with some welcome refreshments.
