Can you nominate Camphill Blair Drummond at your workplace?
Sandy Harrison, parent of day student, Elaine Harrison at Camphill Blair Drummond, did just that and helped to raise a fantastic £1,000 for the Appeal.
Sandy Harrison works for Total Elgin, and they, like many other companies have a charity fund which they give away every year to a number of different charities. People who work on the rig can nominate a charity and Total Elgin then choose which charities will benefit each year from the list of nominations. When Sandy became aware of this, he put Camphill Blair Drummond’s name forward and we were all delighted when we were chosen as one of the nominated charities this year.
So whether you work for a big national company or a small local business, it’s always worth asking whether they have a charity of the year, and if staff members can nominate a charity. Who knows, maybe you could help us raise the next £1,000!
It all makes a really big difference!

- “I have been very lucky to see the new workshops and houses become a reality. It has been talked about for a long time and it is great to see it happen. There has been quite a bit of upheaval along the way and the residents have coped with it brilliantly. However it has all been worthwhile and you just have to pop into Sycamore or Garden House to see that the residents think so too.” (Irene McLaren, Amber House Leader)
