Then and Now

For some people, the story of Camphill Blair Drummond spans decades. Having first joined the community as a pupil, Georgia has remained part of community life for more than 40 years.

"In the very beginning when I came, on Tuesday 3 September 1984, I was in the class in the morning and then I was in food processing in the afternoon." - Georgia

From classrooms and workshops to community life today, Georgia's story reflects the friendships, opportunities and shared experiences that connect Camphill Blair Drummond's past with its present.

Royal Visit 2013

Georgia has been part of our community since 1984, and one of my favourite memories is seeing her in the Craft Workshop back in 2013.

She truly loved painting, and she always brought enthusiasm and creativity to her work.

At the time, Cliff led the workshop, and it was an exciting year that included a visit from Princess Anne.

Looking back, it is wonderful to remember Georgia's love of painting and the many happy moments we shared together.

"I still remember the excitement across the community when Princess Anne visited. As a Hungarian living and working in Scotland, it felt like a huge moment for me personally. Seeing Georgia's artwork and the pride everyone felt on the day is a memory I will always cherish."- Gyongyi
