A modern, accessible facility supporting a wide range of sports and physical activities

In conjunction with our Celebrating 50 Years programme, construction began on our new Sports & Activity Centre in April 2026 - a vibrant, purpose-built facility designed to become a cornerstone of community life for years to come.

This project is about more than a new building. It represents our shared commitment to health, wellbeing, inclusion and connection - a space where people of all abilities can come together to enjoy sport, move, play, learn, grow and thrive.

Construction is expected to complete just before Christmas 2026, with a full opening in early 2027. The Sports and Activity Centre will also host community events, gatherings and shared experiences - encouraging participation, strengthening relationships, and offering countless opportunities to get involved.

For many people, this will be the first time they can enjoy sport in a space truly designed for them - where they can feel welcome, confident and completely at home.
Once established, the Centre will enrich daily life for the people we support today and open new opportunities for the wider learning disability community.
